About
The technologies that wage war and keep the peace, decoded.
Dual Tech is an independent media outlet covering international news on dual-use technologies: defence and arms, space, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, drones, quantum technologies, export controls and technological sovereignty. Our beat: announcements by governments, armed forces, agencies and companies worldwide, and the way the major media relay them. AI-assisted content, reviewed and approved by a human editor.
Our method
- Spot the announcements that matter: official statements, contracts, budgets, launches, sanctions, export rules, speeches — and how wire services and the press pick them up.
- Go back to the primary source: regulatory text, budget document, register, parliamentary report, open database, original statement — not a rewrite of a rewrite.
- Test figures and promises against documents, past timelines and the work of research centres (IISS, CSIS, IFRI, FRS…), flagging anything that cannot be verified.
- Publish an article sourced line by line, with our questions to those concerned and an open right of reply, published in full.
Transparency: AI-assisted content
Our articles are written with the help of artificial intelligence, then reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication. We only publish what can be traced to a verifiable source; when something cannot be verified, we say so.
Three languages
Dual Tech is published in French (the reference version), English and Arabic. Translations are reviewed; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Right of reply and corrections
Anyone named in an article may request a right of reply or report an error via our contact and right-of-reply form. Replies are published in full.
Independence
Dual Tech has no financial or editorial ties to any government, armed force or agency, to any defence, space or tech company, or to any media group. No advertising, no sponsored content.
